The Riverhawk Peak Shaver is a hydraulically-activated component that seamlessly integrates into a comprehensive coupling system. It collaborates with a flexible coupling to shield machinery from the transmission of undesired forces.
This versatile device can be mounted either on the shaft, replacing a hub, or between shafts, serving as a spacer piece.
Under standard operating conditions, the Peak Shaver flawlessly transmits the entirety of the shaft power from the driving shaft to the driven shaft. This ensures robust protection when a machine encounters a sudden surge in torque.
In the event of such a spike, the device’s internal mechanism slips, allowing both shafts to maintain their rotation. Once the torque surge subsides, the device re-engages, resuming the transmission of the standard torque load.
This design ensures optimal performance and protection for your machinery.
