After many years of research and field testing Riverhawk have developed a new generation of hydraulic tensioners – the Hydraulic Safety Interlock Guard (HSIG) Tensioners
Riverhawk recommends to replace the legacy tensioners with the new HSIG clamping systems for GE Frame 6, 7 and 9 shaft flange clamping elements.
The new hydraulic clamping system HSIG is optimized as a lightweight construction. Due to the reduced weight of the HSIG clamping system, the work can be easily done just by one person.
A new kind of protection system absorbs the triggering shock that can be caused by accidental incorrect operation or malfunction. The HSIG Clamping System always remains securely fastened to the shaft flange and thus protects the installation personnel from accidents.
The HSIG Clamping System also has an effective overstroke protection for the hydraulic cylinder, so that no damage is caused in the event of an impermissible overpressure load from the hydraulic pump. The tightness of the hydraulic system remains guaranteed.
