DIMENSIONIERUNGSSCHRITTE VON FREE-FLEX PIVOTS
INSTALLATION TYPE

LOADS

Fa - Axial force, loads all springs in shear
Fc - Vertical force, loads all springs in compression
Ft - Vertical force, loads all springs in tension
Fh - Horizontal force, loads one spring in compression and the other in tension
Note: Riverhawk engineers recommend calculating the comparative force (pressure) FLC and (tension) FLT using the following equations
FLC = 1.0 x Fc - Load applies pressure to both springs.
FLT = 1.0 x Ft - Load applies tension to both springs.
FLC = 1.41 x Pc - Load applies pressure to only one spring.
FLT = 1.41 x Pt - Load applies tension to only one spring.
For combined loads and force directions Fa or Fh, please contact a consulting engineer.
DETERMINING THE FREE-FLEX PIVOT SIZE
Select the appropriate size where FLC < FC or FLC < FT is permissible. For further technical information on the appropriate product, please select the series in the order inquiry.
